Colorado Cruisin’

Guanella Pass Scenic Byway is definitely one of my favs so far in Colorado. Not too many people up here, fun drive in, and really beautiful all the way up (and down). Also, I was never really particularly interested in hiking 14ers (a high elevation CO hike), but I spent a little bit of time walking around the Mt. Bierstadt trailhead here and something sort of came over me. Being there at the base, looking up at the peak and the wilderness in between, and watching hikers returning from their journey to the top, triggered that certain feeling in me. That "I just want to see if I can" feeling that drives a lot of what I do. I'm nowhere near fit or prepared enough to do that right this minute, but it's definitely going straight onto my bucket list as something to work towards. ⛰️
