New Shoes!
The original 13" steel rims and hub caps came with the sale of the car but needed some TLC. I had the rims sandblasted and powder coated silver, and went ahead and wrapped them in Pirelli Cinturato CN36 rubber because I really couldn't resist. The CN36 tire model originally dates back to 1968, but Pirelli has started manufacturing them again today with their modern performance grade tire compound. Tread pattern is too frickin cool to pass up, and they DO stick nicely!
In the future I plan to switch over to some period correct alloy sport rims (once I save up the big bucks and manage to track down a set), but I had the urge to get these original steelies back in action for the time being. I think they suit a Colorado Orange car really nicely!
