Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Pt. 2

A few more from the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. It's just so much fun photographing these! The night/dusk shots here are from a really cool thing they do at the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta are these "night glow" events. It's where they just inflate the balloons at dusk but don't actually take off. Then they try to synchronize their fire bursts to either all illuminate in unison or flicker on and off in unison. Pretty neat just meandering around under this pop-up sculpture park! The fun character shapes are called special shape balloons, and most of those photos are from the "Special Shape Glowdeo" 🤣 The very last photo here, the one without any balloons inflated, was at dawn on the final day of the festival. The morning flights were postponed (and ultimately canceled) due to unfavorable wind conditions, but lots of pilots were blasting their burners to keep people warm while we awaited news. Every basket had a pool of people huddled around it haha! (It was 40 degrees). They call this a candle stick glow.
