Made it to Oregon!
Made it to the Oregon border! I’ll be going slightly further north and diving inland, but this is basically the turnaround point.
A brief portion of my route back south into CA from Oregon was through the Klamath National Forest, which was probably a bit of a mistake as I definitely underestimated how much smoke haze there would be from the NorCal fires. The roads were worth it though, 55 mph speed limit and most of it repaved literally like last week. Smoothest cruising canyon road i've ever driven on. Just perfect, will definitely have to go back and spend more time when the air is clear.
